Karakol
My father's Pajero, two hundred kilometers of winding roads, a few switchbacks in ancient stone mountains, a few magical straight stretches piercing the horizon, getting lost in the steppe three times, long hours on the road, and... finally, we're there...
Everything is different there... Everything is different... In a different direction... In different coordinates... The scale of the surrounding landscape makes you lose your usual sense of space... There are no people there... There is no internet... There are no roads... There is a constant hot wind blowing and an eternal wave fervently lapping the shore... Just like a hundred, a thousand, a hundred thousand years ago...
Eastern Kazakhstan, Bukhtarma Reservoir, Karakol Bay.
This time, in one album, I present shots taken from Earth: with a Sony ILCE-7M5 and TAMRON 28-200 mm f/2.8-5.6 DI III RXD, and from a DJI Air 3S.
36 shots. Why 36?.. I once had that many shots on film. Just 36... And a whole 36... And then - I had to think much more carefully before pressing the shutter...
